Maritime Career Days 2025/2026 Fall Semester
Where the Professionals of Tomorrow Met the Leaders of Today
University of Kyrenia successfully completed its 2025/2026 Fall Semester Maritime Career Days event. Organized under the Maritime Faculty and the Maritime Vocational School, this comprehensive program brought together our students and leading representatives of the maritime industry, creating a strong and impactful bridge between academia and the professional world.
Throughout the event, experts from various fields of the maritime sector shared their career journeys and experiences with the students. They also provided guidance on professional skills, key points to consider during internship processes, career planning, and the ethical values of the profession. Participants had the opportunity to learn about industry innovations and technological advancements, expanding their vision and gaining strategic perspectives for the future.
Filled with an intensive schedule, numerous meetings, and inspiring exchanges, the event offered students not only valuable knowledge but also direct communication with industry professionals, experience sharing, and the chance to strengthen their professional networks. Each session brought new perspectives, each interaction sparked inspiring ideas, and the future captains, engineers, managers, and maritime professionals of our university demonstrated a strong and confident presence.
The contribution of the Maritime Club students played a significant role in planning and executing the event. We wholeheartedly congratulate the entire student team, who acted with a strong sense of responsibility at every stage, demonstrated leadership qualities, and ensured excellent coordination throughout the event. Their energy, discipline, and dedication elevated the quality of the organization and created a meaningful environment for interaction between students and industry representatives.
We extend our gratitude to the industry partners, external stakeholders, and academic staff who supported the event. As University of Kyrenia, we will continue to organize similar activities that allow our students to explore the maritime sector closely, shape their career plans, and prepare for the professional world with confidence and competence.
The entire program served as a guiding course for the sailors of the future. This event was not only about résumés; it was about courage, preparedness, evolving global dynamics, and a strong maritime vision.
As University of Kyrenia, we remain committed to supporting both the academic and professional development of our students, ensuring that they grow into strong, qualified, and well-equipped individuals within the maritime sector.
Fair winds and following seas.
